Life at SHMS

Part of the enjoyment of studying at SHMS, is the experience of interacting with students from all around the world. SHMS has students from more than 40 different countries living and studying together on campus. Through this interaction students form lasting contacts which may prove invaluable in their hospitality career. Although the study programme is intensive, there is always leisure time available for students to enjoy their stay in Switzerland.

The school arranges many sports, recreational activities and sightseeing trips for students. Many European countries
are also within easy reach for weekend excursions. The superior education, valuable work experience and the chance to make many friends from all over the world make SHMS a unique starting point for a successful career!

Accommodation and Meals
During the academic term, we (students) are accommodated in a magnificent building, built originally as a luxury 5 * hotel. The standard accommodation included in the fees consists of twin share rooms.

Double deluxe and single deluxe rooms which have their own private bathroom and a view over Lake Geneva are also available at an extra charge. Fullboard is provided seven days a week. 3 meals on weekdays (breakfast, lunch
and dinner), and two meals at the week-ends (brunch and dinner). Meals are served either in the Self Service Buffet Restaurant or the French Restaurant. Students may use the student kitchen to prepare a meal if they wish, particularly
at weekends.

Sports and Leisure and Excursions

A programme of excursions is arranged each term for sight seeing shopping and various sporting activities Many excursions are associated with the hospitality
industry. The cost for official school excursions and professional visits are included in the course
